    Intervale Green and Louis Nine House - Watch a Building Grow!

    There has been a lot of change on the corner of Louis Nine Blvd and Intervale Ave in the South Bronx since WHEDco began construction on the Intervale Green and Louis Nine House buildings in 2006. This beautiful, environmentally sustainable development opened to residents in winter 2009.



    WHEDco's Intervale Green Wins Another Award!

    WHEDco is honored to be a recipient of the 2009 John M. Clancy Award for Socially Responsible Housing for its newest building, Intervale Green.  WHEDco thanks the Boston Society of Architects and the American Institute of Architects for recognizing the importance of making safe, healthy and beautiful homes a reality for everyone.

    The intent of the John Clancy Award for Socially Responsible Housing is to recognize excellence in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of socially responsible urban housing by honoring an organization, group, or individual who has been a major force behind one or more completed housing developments.

    WHEDco also won the 15th Annual Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award for Green Housing from the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition at a ceremony in Washington D.C. on June 11, 2009!
