WHEDco at NYCEDC Roundtable Discussion

Akila Shenoy, Community Development Program Manager at WHEDco, attended an exciting roundtable discussion at the New York City Economic Development Corporation on February 14th.  NYCEDC’s called upon over 30 organizations to participate in the discussion about their new pilot initiative LINK (Leveraging Innovations and our Neighborhoods in the Knowledge Economy).  The initiative is designed to connect the City’s disadvantaged neighborhoods and communities with growing sectors of the innovation economy.  The roundtable was one part of a series of discussions the NYCEDC will hold to garner feedback about this exciting new program.
